Kanye West released a new track last night, and despite its lining up with a celebratory occasion (New Year's Eve), Kanye elected to go the sentimental route with the single. "Only One" is its name, and it doubles as a Paul McCartney-assisted (he helped write it) affair sung from the perspective of Kanye's late mother looking down on him from Heaven. It's a tear-jerking effort, and like everything Kanye does, it's an unexpected twist departing from what we last heard from him on Yeezus. Despite its somber tone, however, it's still an incredibly written track and will no doubt continue to elicit plenty of listens around the world. "Only One" is the first single from Kanye's yet-to-be-titled album, and you can purchase it right now on iTunes.
