A collaborative album between Kanye West and Kid Cudi is the type of thing that, typically, would only exist in rumor and imagination, but, it is 2018, and the rules are different now. Anything can happen, and "anything" has. This Kanye-Cudi dream project is real, and it debuted last night at a hectic listening party in California. These two have always brought out the best in each other, and, now, we hear what that sounds like on their seven-track collaborative project, KIDS SEE GHOSTS. While Kanye's vocal and lyrical contrfibutions are excellent here, Cudi really shines throughout the project. We haven't heard Cudi release such a coherent and well-defined work since his MOTM days, and songs like "Reborn" show him at his absolute best. The production throughout this is delightfully eclectic (there are elements of folk, psychedelic, blues, and even jazz throughout), and yet, the album plays fluidly from its beginning to the end.
