KALK is a new Swedish pop duo that just released their debut EP, Ending Era, last month, and, from the looks of it, they've not been quite discovered on a large scale just yet. We understand that a lot of bands never really make it past that discovery stage, and that's because their music just simply is not good enough, but KALK is an exception, because their five-track debut body of work is definitely something that's worth people's time. The first noticeable aspect of their sound is how angelic their vocal tone is (this is especially noticeable on "Future"). That, as we all know, is a big plus and is what gets people hooked, but what also is separating Julia Simonson and Freja Drakenbergis (KALK) is the production and overall appealing nature of their songwriting. It's pop-friendly, engaging, and, amazingly, not something you could call watered-down at all. You can stream our highlights from the EP below, or, conversely, you can listen to the tracks over on SoundCloud now.
