While producers continuously compete with one another and complicate their sound, KAASI remains on his very own island, creating his blatantly distinct blend of smooth house that compares to nothing else. The guy's an absolute wizard, and we don't know how he magically manipulates synths, meticulously chops vocals, or creates the mellow, yet upbeat vibe that all of his music conveys, but hats off to him for consistently pouring out some of the most euphonic house music we hear. The mentioned genre is one that, if listened to in excess, can definitely become annoying, and even the biggest enthusiasts might go mad listening to that same kick-snare beat over and over again and over again. So if a typical house song is like a strong shot of vodka, KAASI's music is like a refreshing piña colada: mellow, relaxed, and digested with smoothness. We're fortunate to have a new effort from the London-based producer to obsess over, and not only is it a remarkably good track, but it also reveals even more musical growth from the man behind it. "Work With Me" contains the signature KAASI percussion, which consists of subtle clicks, claps, and ticks—all of which are typically complemented by a soft sound and KAASI's secret synth formula. For the first minute, the track becomes softer and softer, quieter and quieter, until you're left wondering if anything is really there, but then a euphoric wave of synths rolls through and really gets the song going. It's a joy to be a part of, the listening experience is, and though KAASI releases tracks pretty sparingly, you know it's going to be good when he lets loose a new one like this, so make sure to give it a couple good listens.
