It's a beautiful thing to be able to accompany an elegant female voice with sparkling production. You've gotta think, if a girl can dress up and wear makeup to accentuate her beauty, why cannot an artist, while borrowing the same kind of logic, incorporate a similar type of supplementaion into his or her sound? And while the product may not be treated in the same light as external beauty, we hold songs like "Where We Started" beyond aesthetics, because it's an effort inherent to that is way more rewarding than the kind of serene superficiality that passes so often through the eyes. Don't scoff at that thought until you listen to "Where We Started", either, because once those synths start to kick in, you'll be completely on board with the idea.
