Back in 1996, K-Os was managed by then Toronto Raptors player, John Salley who saw the obvious talent that K-Os had. With the backing and funding from Salley, they pressed up the "Take You There" CD single that contained 2 versions of "Rise Like The Sun" + the title track. Shortly after the release of this CD single, K-Os denounced these recordings calling them "pretentious and derivative". It wasn't until 7 years later when K-Os released his critically acclaimed debut album, Exit, that he really took off. As to why he chose that route is a complete mystery to me, but looking back it really doesn't matter considering what he has manage to do since. These songs are no longer available for purchase, so you might have to do some due diligence to find these. Below is the best track off the single anyways, trust me.
