K-OS has never shyed away from pushing the boundaries with his music each time he has released a new album. Just when you got comfortable with the sound of an album, K-OS would always come out with something new that you had to slowly digest into. This was partly K-OS' biggest strength because you never knew what was coming. Each album that K-OS has released from '02 to '09 has been a success, so in 2013, K-OS will look to break into the minds of all his fans once again with his 5th double-disc solo album, BLack On BLonde. With such a quiet lead-up to BLack On BLonde it's safe to say that we have no idea what to expect from the enigmatic emcee/songer K-OS. What we did know is that this double disc album would be spilt into two different genre/styles on each disc. The BLack disc is the more hip-hop/electronic side of the album while the second disc BLonde is the more rock driven section of the album. Depending on what you're into K-OS for, we're not sure what side of the album you are personally going to like more. But what I can say, (judging from my aspiring un-biased opinion on favouring any specific genre), I found the BLack disc to be the stronger side of the album. With the current radio hit "NYCE To Know Ya" & all-star casted track "Spraying My Pen" it will be hard to not get stuck on this side of the album. I think it's safe to say that BLack On BLonde is definitely not K-OS' strongest album to date. Remember though, this is K-OS and we all hold him up in a high regard, so don't expect to be disappointed. Just don't expect the album to be jam packed.
