I was hooked after the first second of JVNTG's entrancing "Empty $oul" instrumental, and that's no exaggeration. It's plain incredible, and, quite honestly, I've few superlatives to share without sounding like I'm underwhelming the effort. I've had the track on repeat since the moment I stumbled fortunately upon it, and I think that speaks well enough. The production begins in earnest, incorporating absolutely tranquilizing keys that work to set the tone for the rest of the effort, and it's only a matter of seconds until Thallie Ann's voluptuous voice takes reign of the blissful sound. JVNTG responds with some fresh and forceful bass, lively hats, and a looping of Ann's most boisterous bellows, effectually creating what may be my favorite beat of the year thus far. It's more timied than the former, prefering the route of methodical, bassy, ethereality over that of uptempo glam, but it's an effort every bit as alluring as you'd hope.
