And you thought Justin Timberlake’s “Suit and Tie” couldn’t get more funky! Well, it turns out that it can, and producers Galimatias and Joppe have teamed up for a rendition of the off-beat hit that takes the original’s vintage aesthetic and cranks it up to eleven. The rolling synths are soft-edged and the bass remains low while bumping at a relaxed pace, but still has plenty of punch if you turn up the volume. Both of these producers make great music, but what’s really interesting is that this track is a total departure from their normal styles. If you scrolled through their respective past releases, you would find a lot of modern electronic production work, but almost nothing like this. So it’s all the more impressive when these producers can pull something as good and refined as this out of thin air.
