Juliet Ivy writes dark pop with the precision of someone who's read all the right books and processed none of the feelings correctly — which is exactly what makes it work. The production here has real tension in it, synths that feel anxious, drums that hit just slightly too hard. The title is bleak and accurate. One of the better pure pop-adjacent finds of late 2023.
