Neither JOY, nor ISLND are first-timers on HD, but seeing both of their names in the same post is particularly exciting for us. The latter act's last appearance on the site was seven months ago with their outstanding remix of Nicole Millar's "Taken", but now, we're seeing the Sydney-based band make a stunning return to our pages with a tropical remix of JOY.'s lovely electronic-pop ballad, "Captured". After we heard the original, we knew a remix was just resting on the horizon, and we see here with ISLND's that indeed one had been brewing beautifully. ISLND infuses a highly dance-inclined into the original through a pumping house beat, marimba-filled percussion, and deep, grooving synths, and as the track progresses, additional synth layers add to the songs complexity. It makes for a somewhat-tropical, extraordinarily listenable house track, so if that's your cup of tea for the moment, by all means, indulge in what ISLND's provided below.
