This one is going to be big. Any time your pair up quality music from a major talent like Josef Salvat with the production and remix prowess of duo like the UK-based Bodhi, you're going to have a good time. In fact, it's been a while since we've been so excited about a remix simply because of the names attached to it, and to top it all off, the music itself here passes the sonic litmus test with flying colors. There's always lofty expectations when two great names come together, surely, and just like anything else in the creative world, there's plenty of variables that could work to turn the remix either into a delight, or a crushing disappointment. Fortunately for everyone, this one is everything we'd hoped it would be. Bodhi has turned a powerful anthem into a laid-back dance track that fits surprisingly well with the original's artistic aspirations. The vocals have been filtered out, and the sharp immediacy in Salvat's voice in the original has been pushed into the background to cultivate an air of calm that will both inspire and relax. Like the residual ripples in a pond that form from the initial splash after you've thrown in a pebble, this remix is a much more serene iteration of its parent track. The only thing left is the ghost of the original, but that's all Bodhi needed to knock this one out of the park while paying homage to an already stellar song. If you're digging this, then be on the the lookout for Josef's upcoming EP titled In Your Prime that comes out on September 22nd.
