We first came across Jordan Mackampa last year through excellent track "Yours To Keep" from his Physics EP. The Congo native's folk-like, acoustic sound is one we found both refreshing and authentic, and, now, he's back with another outstanding effort in "Teardrops In A Hurricane". "Teardrops" is built atop a steady kick, and, despite its sparing use of instruments, it presents an interesting song structure. The first half contains electric guitar and Mackampa's lone vocals, and the second half ushers in acoustic guitar, occasional piano, and a female choir. We are pegging this as the best track from his freshly released Tales From The Broken EP which you can stream fully on Spotify, and we encourage you to listen to it below.
