Johnny Yukon's first full-length project, Installation I, has finally arrived. The Pennsylvania native has writing credits for artists like Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, and Leon Bridges, yet, while helping these others, he's been crafting an image and sound for himself as well. Yes, he is riding the R&B-pop-rap wave that's currently usurping the charts, yet, Yukon's lyrical excellence cuts through the tides of artists attempting to replicate this sound. There are lots of tracks here to fuel late-night drives, such as the gloomily angelic "Voices", and there are more hook-laden tracks like "Lies" and the Marvin Gaye-saluting "Healing" as well.
