If you're one of those people dying to hear new material from Frank Ocean, we've not only something to hold you over with, but a new project from Californian R&B vocalist and producer Johnny Rain that's good enough to rival his own. That's a high compliment, we know, but when you hear what he's done on this six-track EP, you'll be prone to agree at least a little bit. Johnny Rain has only one project out prior to this one, so if this is your first time hearing about him, prepare to become a fan instantly. EP1 is about as flawless as it gets, and the vocal tone he possesses on it is seriously magnetic. His production chops ain't too bad, either, and they prove to be diverse throughout the entirety of the work. EP1 is surely more than a one-and-done listen as a result, and, surely, when you're done running through it once, you're not going to want to stop.
