After coming across rapper John Givez through Leon Bridges, we've followed the Californian's work with great intent, as we now turn to a standout cut, "Will Not Be Televised", from his latest album, Soul Rebel. "Elementary Trill", the first track of John's that we came across, gave us quite a well-round introduction to his polished flow, and, here again, we see it emerge some more. High-velocity deliveries and hoarse, addictive choruses combine with heavy chords and break-filled drums, and we're given another reason through it all to consider the Oceanside artist as one to watch.
