On March 26th (April 6th in Canada and US) we are going to be treated to a new John Butler Trio album that sees two new members and new material that is being quoted as " my best work to date" by John Butler. JBT have always topped my list as one of my favorite bands that not only bring a musical element that is second to none but a social awareness of lyrics that represent reality. John Butler's lyrics lay out a musical cinema for everyone to enjoy in their own way. If you were to describe music to anyone who has never heard of such a thing, April Uprising would be that album you passed to that person. It has the complete package of substance with sweet melodies, vocal brilliance, wicked guitar work, and a sense of euphoria that every great album has. JBT fans are going to sick their teeth into with what I think is John Butler's most complete album to date. Standout favorites include Revolution, I'd Do Anything, Johnny's Gone, I'm A Fool, Look Like You, Steal It, Mystery Man... anymore and I might as well name the whole album.
