It's been 19 years since Biggie Smalls' death, and, to commemorate the day, New York's own Joey Bada$ has just released a new original track, "Brooklyn's Own", as a dedication to the legendary emcee. The new cut features a peppy, drum break-filled, sample-laden beat from hip-hop mainstay Statik Selektah, and with Joey's flawless verses set alongside it all, the sonic commemoration is definitely something worthy of being called a tribute—and a terrific one at that.
