JMSN has impressed us for years with his electronically rooted R&B, but on his new body of work, It is., he's turning to a much more soulful sound produced by authentic instrumentation only. By making use of swooping strings, elegant keys, jazzy percussion, bold brass, and smooth electric guitar, he's sculpt ideal platforms for his passionate vocals to work, and there, they surely do.
