Alluring lyricism is and has been a staple of the Detroit-resident’s craft, and the claim is exemplified on this piece with a sooty instrumental hoisting his lines at appropriate moments throughout the track. The production is another crucial talking point as well with hat-heavy patterns fusing his addictive cadence and elated synths, and together, the segments of the piece rise to distinctly downtempo and still highly poignant territories JMSN seems to have all but monopolized.
