We feature a staggering amount of music on here, and yet, even with this volume, it's still a very rare day when we can proclaim with conviction that we have something truly unique on our hands. The debut single from Oakland newcomer Jinn Grin, “The Answer”, is just that, however. Side-stepping from his starting lineup position in Astronauts, etc., Jinn Grin has used time to produce an interesting collection of psychedelic melodies that prove he isn’t afraid to go off-piste when it comes to traditional song structure. Sure, this whimsical style may not be to everyone’s taste, but we absolutely love it, and we can’t wait to hear what is encompassed within The Answer EP when it is released June 14.
