Jez Dior is a new artist from LA who has made a quick mark on the blog world in the last 4 days by reaching #1 on the Hype Machine. While this feat on its own does not determine how good a new artist can be, it does however get the attention of a good amount of people. Judging from a first listen Jez has a solid voice and has that indie hip-hop pop-sampling thing going on that always seems to work. While I won't jump on the hype train just yet, the single, "Candles", shows a decent promise that is good enough for me right now to check back when he releases his debut mixtape Scarlett Sage soon.
