In case the fact that you've made it to Friday isn't enough to put you in a great mood, one of our favorite up-and-coming songstresses, Shura, has decided to make your day even better by dropping off her first ever remix. If the fact that she's remixing "Say You Love Me" by Jessie Ware, too, doesn't get you psyched, then we have no idea what will, because the meshing of these two artists' sounds has produced an incredible new vibe that we may not ever hear again. Shura has been exporting some of the smoothest, softest, most sensual pop-flavored R&B that we've heard all year, so when her distinct sound collides with Jessie Ware's heart-stopping vocals, the outcome is just as amazing as you'd expect. Shura definitely makes some major adjustments on this remix, as she completely reinvents the instrumental by making use of low-pitched vocal chops, deep synths, and some fresh percussion, but the rework still maintains the original's calm feel. We completely love the approach Shura has taken here, because the powerful emotion emitted by the original still exists, but it's just twisted in a bit of a different, albeit fresh, direction. Jessie Ware's new album, Tough Love, is set for release on October 21, and it's very likely to contain some excellent offerings. Also, be sure to keep an ear out for new material from Shura, because everything that she's put out so far has been gold.
