If you still haven't heard Jessie Reyez's debut song, "Figures", we recommend you do so immediately. It was the type that made the music world stop and sit in collective awe, as the raw emotion packed in it is something that only comes along on rare occasions. Now, today, the Torontonian artist is giving us her first full statement in the form of her debut EP, and, unsurprisingly, we like it a ton. Dark and forward-thinking, the six-track project is a brilliantly bold statement. Our favorite new track from it, "Gatekeeper", addresses a heavy topic in a very creative (and sometimes menacing) manner, and, our next pick, "Great One", puts Reyez's captivating and raspy vocals on full display. The rest of the project is certainly worth your ears, as well, and you can stream it in full on Spotify.
