Modern pop is distastefully similar and mediocre at times, but there are artists here and there that create music unique and creative to themselves. Hailing from Nashville, songstress Jessie Early is one that holds true to the aforementioned statement, and she is debuting today with a single entitled "Heart". A dark, moody vibe surrounds the cut throughout its progression, and its smooth electronic undertones, rippling synths, and hypnotizing, echoing choruses make it an enjoyable one. A dreamy blend of indie and pop—and a piece from her first EP, the March 31-releasing Wild Honey—the track seems poised to foreshadow more solid material ahead.
