Jesse Davidson — Ocean

Jesse Davidson

Ocean

Ever since his vocals nearly single-handedly lifted Japanese Wallpaper’s “Between Friends” to need-to-be-raving-about territories, we've had Jesse Davidson high our mind. Suffice it to say then that we were overjoyed to hear of the Adelaide artist releasing a new single—the title track from his new EP, Ocean—that gives further proof of his vocally alluring and sonically pleasing ways. We really applaud everything beyond the vocals in “Ocean” (though they, themselves, are, again, utterly fantastic). Their light tone purveys what whispering percussion and deep, direct synths bolster them at the bottom end, and jointly, they give rise to an impressively attractive, lo-fi-sounding bit of electronic with Davidson's voice shimmering across from start to finish. Be sure to take a look at Davidson’s SoundCloud, which also contains tracks such as “Big Bois Gotta Eat” which we would equally recommend. There’s really no doubt that we’ll be bringing you plenty of the guy's talent in the future as he continues his cruise at a speedy pace down the road to popularity, so get to know him now, and start carving out an area in your space of favorite artists.
