Our first taste of Adelaide artist Jesse Davidson came on his collaboration with Japanese Wallpaper on "Between Friends", and after that, we were able to post another, solo track of his, "Ocean", that further concreted his personal sound. Now, he's another new track of his leading off his new EP in May, and, lo-fi as it comes across, it's going to resonate impeccably with fans of alternative and indie sounds. Some slightly retro-sounding synths and a whole smorgasbord of authentic-sounding instruments coat the effort of Jesse's, and his perfectly contained vocals complement them oh so well all throughout. You're probably going to feel younger than you are when you listen to the track, and even if you're stoic and don't feel anything at all, you will, at the very least, have some inspired old-fashioned imagery to accommodate you as you listen along to it all. "Laika" harks back to days passed, and if you're a sucker for the kind of nostalgic listen it provides, dig absolutely in to it.
