Jelani Blackman is not here to rehash music you've already been inundated with. He's here to apply his own spin on life and channel it into his music, and we've the belief because of his debut track, "Twenty//Three", that's obviously taken from a place of immense creativity. As we all know. there's nothing new under the sun, but with Jelani Blackman, we may have an exception to the statement, because within the diverse instrumentation, complex textures, and unorthodox songwriting structures on the track, there's definitely something we haven't before come across. The sound's entirely unique, and hopefully, it's foreshadowing of more interesting material to come from the London-based artist, because we'd love to hear more.
