Jaymes Young continues to pave the way for pop-leaning alternative artists, and any new material from him is a sublime balance of innovative and appealing sounds. As we hear his anticipated first album, Feel Something, that released a couple days ago, we see these sentiments echoed, and the body of work really shows the kind of renowned artist he's become. "Tied Down" seems to be the new standout from the eleven-piece body of work, and, while "Feel Something" and "We Won't" are still rather fresh in our minds, they're certainly worth a revisit in album form. The Seattle native delivers his signature falsettos alongside off-kilter instrumentation, and the overall vocal-centered approach he takes is one we've grown to love.
