If you follow us everyday and read what we write, you would have no doubt seen us allude to our dissatisfaction towards new hip-hop not being creative enough versus the emerging talents in other genres (yes, that's an unfair comparison). However, juxtaposing that statement entirely is the UK rapper, Jay Prince, who's making a serious push with his brand of refreshing rap. From the previously released "PHASE" that hit our pages back in November, we have been keen to keep our eye on the artist, all in the understanding that more greatness was on its way. Today through the Yourstruly SoundCloud, Jay Prince dropped a brand-new track, "Stay On My Cool". On what is perhaps our favorite song to date from him, Jay smooths his UK-accented, quick-tongued raps over a hand-clap led beat that gets accentuated with horns and the occasional west-coast synth drop. If there ever was a song to kick off the hype for Jay Prince, "Stay On My Cool" is it.
