The last time we heard Stwo in any sort of sonic capacity was with his edit of The Weeknd's "Or Nah" in February. It's been a couple of silent months on the musical front since, and though we understand he's been working on his debut HW&W EP, it's been with bated anticipation that we've waited for his next offering. Turns out his edit of UK rapper Jay Prince's "I Stay On My Cool" is just that: an exciting, inspired variation of an original track, serving as another excellent entry into Stwo's ever-impressive sonic canon. He's all his characteristic traits in the track: smooth synth lines, perfectly polished samples, and kick drums to die for; and though the verses of Jay retain a type of prominence throughout Stwo's interpretation of them, it's the latter's sleek supplementation that really gives them (and the original) an emphatic extra life. We're digging, of course, and we hope we won't have to wait months again for Stwo's next musical installment.
