A producer who’s been consistently putting out polished, bass-driven gems is Australian Jaytee, and though it’s only been a couple months since we delved into his fiery remix of Kanye’s “On Sight", he’s already back to his fruitful ways, in this case, instilling a fresh burst of electronic flavor into Jane Tyrrell’s “Wild Waters”. The original is one we’ve already spoken highly of, and to take away its authentic character would be a blunder no doubt, but Jaytee certainly had that in the back of his mind while refashioning the piece, as he superbly uplifts the vocals and simultaneously adds his igneous electronic flair—engendering quite an ecstatic setting throughout. Commencing the revamp with gentle, tranquilly placed keys is a stroke of genius on Jaytee’s part, simply because it gives off strong shades of the original and salutes Jane’s vocals exquisitely in the process. As the piece gradually progresses and intensifies, you soon expect Jaytee’s touch to makes its way in, and it certainly does, as the chorus is renewed by a crunchy, saw-driven synth in a highly addictive pattern. The remix continues its scintillating course, see-sawing from the serene vocals to the rejuvenating bassline, and it portrays fantastically just how rapidly the Newcastle-based beatmaker’s sonic prowess continues to ascend.
