We've passed up opportunities to share Jamie xx's solo work before (it's always been a bit too ambient for our taste), but with his latest piece entitled "Loud Places", we've an effort of his that we're definitely unable to overlook. The Romy-featuring track (Romy and Jamie comprise 2/3 of the band, The xx) is lifted from his forthcoming debut album, In Colour, and we can only hope that rest of the body of work will be as good as "Loud Places" is here. EDIT: Although not quite as captivating, another of Jamie's tracks, "Gosh", has seen its casting off into the world through an Annie Mac interview. Check the track out if you're so inclined, but be sure to spend time with "Loud Places" below.
