The light-hearted ambience that begins the latest track from James Chatburn, “Creator”, is enough to really have our ears perked, but it’s after the track starts churning a minute later that we’re really reminded of the immense talent the up-and-comer has. It was first hinted at a few months back on his Jordan-Rakei-paired track, “Holiday Love,” and, ultimately, it’s continued here in a nu-soul work of art. Chatburn’s vocals are outstanding through and through on the piece, and mixing them with a bit of the aforementioned individual's production seems to again be a winning combination for the Sydney up-and-comer. He's seemed to really find his sonic footing with his most recent works, and his new EP that should be out soon promises to deliver more of his goods.
