Remixing can bridge a gap between two very different genres, but it's not always an easy thing to do. Shy Girls, an R&B singer and producer, has, with his brand-new remix of Jack + Eliza's "One Too Far", managed to take the lo-fi, rustic-soaked sound of the New York City duo and add his own bright, electronic-infused twist to it. On paper, you'd assume the end result could be disjointed, but he shows again here that he can nail the remix game. Make sure you check out Jack + Eliza's superb debut album, Gentle Warnings, on iTunes if you haven't already, as it's a must-own for anyone who's a fan of lo-fi indie at all.
