Covering Sam Smith is no easy task; it's like asking someone to cover 5,000 thread-count sheets with sandpaper. However, with J Warner and his cover of "Stay With Me", there's no roughing up the edges here, because what this UK-based newcomer is offering (with the production of Blinkie) is something you're going to want to get on your daily rotation ASAP. The original is quite tame, so if you're looking for that extra thump in your music, this cover is going to be right up your alley with its accents of energetic electronic, trap, and, eventually, drum and bass. This is our first time coming across J Warner, and judging from what we're hearing here, its time to follow along with his efforts, because this cover is fantastic.
