IYES has been impressing us since 2012 with their fresh blend of electronic and pop, but today, the Brighton-located duo proves that they can still amaze with no more than a guitar and their own voices. This live demo of theirs entitled "Simmer" might catch devout fans a bit off guard since their sound is typically filled with head-turning electronic production, but, again, the duo really establishes their talent by nailing the acoustic track. Both Josh Christopher and Melis Soyaslanová contribute their voices to the song, although the latter takes the vocal spotlight as is usually the case. The rapid chords and gentle plucks contribute to the song's stripped-down beauty, too, and if you're one who enjoys acoustic-styled tracks, then you'll certainly take to the one they've here provided.
