We covered New Zealand-based songstress ives. half a year ago for her buttery-smooth debut track, "Callin' ur Phone", and what mellow electronic-pop sound it had. Today, she's coming back with a follow-up cut entitled "172", and, though we don't know the significance, project-wise, behind the track, we do know that the explosive, textured ballad did not come short of our expectations at all. The track is similar to her last one, but its hypnotizing falsettos and delicate, minimal production set it apart from any run-of-the-mill pop effort out, and, for that, we're featuring it here.
