Cambridge producer Benjamin Abbot and vocalist Jessica Bartlett have teamed up under the moniker Island Fox to produce a very unique blend of indie-bass in the form of "Things I've Seen". And while it's not one of their newest tracks, it’s definitely one of their best. The first minute or so is more silence than sound, and the sparse bass hits that break into the silence makes the intro sound the like inhale/exhale from a pair of laboured lungs as they struggle for air. Finally, like a shot of Albuterol, at the 1:40 mark, Island Fox opens up the floodgates in no small fashion, and all of a sudden you’re surrounded with a rich, dark, sound that fills up all the voids he left hollow at the beginning.
