"Royal" is what he was known as before, but now with a new record deal and a slew of incredible material behind him (and more surely ahead), he's adopted a new name more closely related to his given one: "Imad Royal" (his real name is Imad-Roy El-Amine). Of course, details like that, however interesting, take a backseat to the music being released, and, fortunately, with his new single here, "Troubles", we see that his creative juices are still flowing freely into his tracks as well. Four months ago is when Imad released his last track, the uniquely poppy and well-put-together "Queen of France", and now, we're treated to another new-sounding pop track from the quick-becoming maestro of the genre itself. There's a nice electronic, bass-touched sheen to the effort, and Royal tries out a different kind of singing, it seems, to drape his lyrics over that. It's not traditional (it's like a mixture of that and some rapping as well) but it's fresh, and that's why we're loving so what we're hearing here.
