&The full length Ima Robot album (fronted by Edward Sharp's lead singer Alex Ebert) is being released today on the guitarist's (Tim Anderson) label. Going through this album is kind of bizzare because its filled with progressive instrumentation and abstract vocals. Its not the kind of album that will blow your top off with bangers but think of it as an album that you bring to a boil and let simmer till its good to eat. The lead single (Ruthless) is probably the best track off this album and was a good choice to lead off. Sail With Me is the second single that the label has ok'd for free download. I do think that Peru deserves the spotlight more than Sail With Me due to its awesomeness. Sure its pretty slow moving but I can't help not let this one play through and let it induce thoughts of some far away place that surely isn't this reality. I can definitely see Peru used in some sort of TV or Movie scene. You can grab this album HERE.
