Some music sounds nice, some is shareable, and some shines to an extent that can't easily be described. Illitry's newest track, "Runaways", is an example of all three (though the latter, most uncommon category, is especially evident here), and with the blissful, bubbling production that opens the track, we think you'll instantly agree. Of course, the gleeful electronic is not all that the effort has to offer, and the four members of the Hamilton, Canada, electronic rock outfit express obvious and impressive chemistry for the sonic treat that is "Runaways". It's not long after the aforementioned synths initiate the track that lead singer Troy Witherow lets his graced tone loose, and with vocal harmony processors in tow, he does so poignantly and impassionately. A twinkling, increasingly sincere (and intense) atmosphere sprawls out necessarily, like the moon at night, and it's one that's carefully supported by its starry, suppporting instrumentations. It won't take long at all for the delightful elements to suck you into the truly wonderful ambiance crafted from them, and don't be surprised when you find yourself replaying the track over and over and over again. The single itself seems to be taken from an upcoming, fall-released work of the band's, and, cliche as it sounds, if it's even a sliver of the same sonic demeanor that "Runaways" has here expressed, we're going to be in for one of the surprise projects of the year across all genres and geographical borders.
