Ill Be An Indian

Nowhere

More often than not, fledgling bands take time to find their sound. A string of singles go by, perhaps even an EP, all alongside experimentation and fine-tuning until said bands are producing the music they know they are capable of putting out. The Melbourne four-piece, I'll Be An Indian, buck that trend, though, as they absolutely nailed the landing first-shot with their debut single, "Nowhere". With tender lyrics and gossamery production that evoke the fragility of entering a new relationship, this young band have produced an impressive and memorable slice of Australian pop. Within the effort is an intricate guitar that tantalises behind the delicate harmonised falsetto, and it's backed by minimalistic electronic percussion that is focused and concise. Make no mistake, this is pop music at its finest. Uncluttered by unnecessary distraction, each tiny, well-though-out element acts to accentuate one another and is executed to perfection to form the crisp, textured pop powerhouse you have before you. So remember the name, because we predict you will be hearing it a lot in the very near future!
