"The Bacon Escape" sounds more like an elementary composition than a lead single, but I'm From Finland (IFF) isn't without his reasons for the title. The universality of music, and the similar nature of bacon itself, swam around the producer's mind the time the track was conceived, so he ran with what name came inspirationally about. We dig that kind of artistic impulse, however lighthearted it may seem, so we're not going to knock the name (or the fact that the food appears on every track's title on the related EP). "The Bacon Escape" is much more than a laugh, anyway; it's a smooth and soulful electronic instrumental that shows off the producer's clean musical chops. With swelling synths, punchy bass, and a vocal loop serving hilariously as a double entendre, "The Bacon Escape" sets the sonic table nice and neatly for the rest of the similarly titled EP to follow. There's no frantic atmosphere found on the track, no overwhelming texture, no sense of an incomplete sound, and no trying to do too much on IFF's behalf; he simply adds what he must to get the easily digestible (and extremely delicious) vibes across, and he does so in superb fashion, plain and simple. "Bacon Escape" may not blow anyone away with its minimal atmosphere, admittedly, but it more than suffices as a crisp sonic snack to enjoy at all hours of the day and night.
