Four-piece electronic acts are rare to come by, simply because two or more producers’ sounds could result in a conflict that may be able to work itself out, but that’s definitely not the case with Australia's If I Had Antlers, who’ve managed to distribute their sonic abilities flawlessly and conjure up a gem of a track entitled “Nu Opus”. With minimal exposure as of this writing, the act (Farzan Saif, Jasper Gundersen, Anthony Trimboli, and Kurt Sines) is certainly headed in the right direction with their take on chillwave, exploiting vocal samples to their desire, inserting vivid synths, and employing dexterous and alluring drum sequences throughout. “Nu Opus” is just under three minutes in length, but it’s the contents we’re concerned with, of course, and they're admirable in several respects.
