It's always nice when artists let their music speak for itself, and that's exactly what the new duo of Jojo Yang and Angelina Lucero (IDҰLL) have done here, dropping off their intriguing debut, "Trouble", with very little information attached. Angelina Lucero was featured on Jerome LOL's latest single, "Fool", which is about all we know with regards to herself and her art, but as far as our familiarization with Jojo Yang, this is the first time we're hearing of her production talents. Based off the track, it's very easy to tell that this Chicago duo has a story to tell, and that's through the art of their music. "Trouble" is atmopsheric and almost primal in the way those 808s continually thump up and down in the background. From there, layers of various sound are built like the framework of a complex mind, allowing the brooding vocals of Angelina to allude to a foreboding sense of something hidden. We're not sure exactly what that is, and that's part of the interpretive aspect of the art, but with one listen to "Trouble", your mind might go off on an imagination tangent like ours.
