We're starting to see some massive collaborations between up-and-coming instrumentalists and R&B vocalists these days, and though they're not necessarily a novelty in today's times, they've been working wonders to attract fans of either genre to the other. We've been blessed with several artists and collectives pushing forth the kind of sonic assimilation, the coming together of intricate percussion and effectual vocals, and perhaps no greater supplier of the soulful synergy has been Soulection and those in collaboration with the Los Angeles label. IAMNOBODI, one of several within their camp pushing forth their passionate sound, has emerged a leader of the aforementioned integration, utilizing various influences to provide for an ecclectic, but still spiritually grounded sound, and it's no surprise that JMSN, a similarly natured artist and explorer of emotional groove, jumped on board with the former's latest track. "Reaction" showcases the stunning ambition of the two individuals, and its apparent the respect each has for the other; you can hear the underlying ecstasy in JMSN's inflections, as well as in IAMNOBODI's zestful synths and pitch-perfect chords, and the obvious chemistry almost makes light of the bubbling bassline that's equally as impressive. There's much to respect about both artists and the effort they've here constructed, including the doors they're opening for future consolidation of the sound they're championing; and while we indulge in the offering they've so effortlessly granted us, we'll hold out hope that an EP involving either individual springs soon to reality.
