If you ever wondered what Britpop, surf rock, and experimental electronic sounded like when combined into one beautifully produced package, then this is a track you've got to pay attention to. Initially, it seems like it's going to go for that hard-edged, mildly abrasive type of alt-rock that bands like the Arctic Monkeys are so famous for, but by the time the chorus rolls around, the sharp guitar stabs have been replaced with a smooth set of ambient synths that make you just want to sit back and soak up whatever sunshine you can get your hands on. As the track continues to progress, the band cycles through different combinations of these two very different sounds, and not once will you find yourself bored with what's coming from your speakers. The track is almost four minutes long, but it melts away in no time at all, and you'll be itching to hit the replay button again before you know it. I Know Leopard is a five-piece based out of Sydney, Australia, and, already having released some great singles to date, have really turned things up a notch with this latest release from their forthcoming EP, ILLUMINA.
