This is a beauty. I Am Karate, an unsigned duo out of Stockholm, Sweden, released what looks like their debut EP in the latter stages of last month, and though we only really took intriguingly to its first track, "Bloom", we're very, very glad that we did. It's a blossoming piece of pop that makes great use of space, piano, and high-reaching vocals, but it's not afraid to pluck the sentimental strings that are found inside each of us, either. The piece will surely resonate with those who love minimal, intimate efforts within the genre, but it'll find find a home, too, inside those purveying generally beautiful sounds and equally affective lyrics that take hold of them. Basically, if you're looking for something to sweep you off your feet while still putting raw emotions inside you, look no further than this.
