The duo that released the most consistently top-notch tracks over the past year has been HONNE. After a slew of EPs and production work for other artists, they've finally crafted and released their debut album, Warm On A Cold Night, and the UK duo's glimmering, soulful effort incorporates previously released music as well as beautiful new tracks that pull the album together. Old favorites we've seen include "Coastal Love", "The Night", and the eponymous title track, "Warm On A Cold Night", all of which we are still massive fans of here. The new tracks fit in seamlessly, and "Ain't Wrong Loving You", a gospel-tinged track complete with a choir, "Till The Evening", with its huge chorus and subtle harmonies, and "Good Together" are all perhaps the most exciting new tracks that appear. Warm On A Cold Night, to sum it up, is not a huge departure from HONNE's previous work, yet it is an incredibly strong and well-crafted debut album from a band that possesses true talent and songwriting ability.
